Thank you for your interest in Lil Jo Lures! I create small-batch lures using the highest quality urethane/acrylic paint used in custom auto painting, then clear using the industry standard KBS Diamond Clear clear coat for added durability. Fluorescent and candy paint are not lightfast regardless of manufacturer, meaning they will fade over time - I combat that by adding two coats of a UV Protectant over every lure using with these paints.
For my hi-detail realism (HDR) lures, I prefer to add details and texture with a paintbrush. Although it takes extra time, the outcome is second to none and you will have yourself a one of a kind lure. No two fish are the same, so why should these lures be? I purposely paint them as naturally as possible, while also making them stand out in a school of baitfish. After all, we're trying to convince fish to choose our bait!
Finally, each lure is rigged exclusively with Gamakatsu hooks, known for their strength and 'sticky' points.

One thing that gets me through the cold Midwest winters is the promise of the next fishing season. - 2021 was no different. I spent the winter painting, researching, and day-dreaming of those spring showers and sunny days. I reminisced about the first time I tried top-water lures and was hooked - literally every single cast. I longed for another chance to hook the muskie that followed my first custom painted swimbait and broke the surface - nearly giving me a heart attack - then gave me a side eye as it swam back into the weed bed. While planning for the next season's strategy, I realized how expensive it can be to update the tackle box with premium equipment.
Thus, the Lil' Jo Lure Co was born.
Hundreds of painting hours, dozens of painting trials, and a few drops of blood later, I am proud to share with you a collection of unique and high-definition realism (HDR) hard baits, rigged exclusively with Gamakatsu hooks.
I do this because I love to fish and believe everyone should have the access to top-notch, ready to fish lures. I stand behind my work and offer a 100% guarantee.
I appreciate any and all feedback - good, bad, and ugly. After all, I am just an average Jo painting above average lures, just for you - the every day angler.
